Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!
Christmas arrived early for the students of Kindergarten!! 20th December 2019 was the day when the Christmas spirit was created for the students through a flurry of activities reminiscent of the auspicious day. To create the right ambience, the children were encouraged to come dressed in Christmas colours, which could be a mix of red, green and white. No Christmas celebration is complete without a tastefully decorated Christmas tree, and this is what caught the eye of the children as they trooped into the school in their Christmas best. Children were also treated to some catchy Christmas carols. The strains of the iconic Christmas song, Jingle Bells rent the air as Santa made his entry!!! It made their day when Santa gave each KG section a box of goodies, which the students relished during their class party. Their joy knew no bounds when Santa joined them as they danced to various Christmas carols.

We taught the kids all the major parts of our state and shared the gratitude we need to have towards our state, in which the students to boost their love and respect for the mother tongue, preserving its unique beauty. FUN TIME!!!!!!!!!!
With an objective to create and educate children about the importance and consumption of vegetables in their regular diet, Teachers encouraged children to have vegetables and fruits in their meals. Our kids learned names of vegetable and its color. Children clearly understood the importance of washing the fruits and vegetables before eating or cooking and about the benefits of eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Children and teachers sang the fruit and vegetable rhyme with great zest, enthusiasm and vigour, enjoying the moments of joy and happiness on this special day.
"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
We started the special assembly with a small talk on the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
The students also shed light on Gandhi Ji’s invaluable contribution in India’s freedom
struggle and how his
principles of truth and non-violence are still remembered today. The school Principal,
spread the message of endurance,
peace, harmony and expressed her gratitude to Gandhiji for giving the powerful tool of
Non-Violence.
In addition our kids planted saplings in our courtyard to raise awareness to the society in
the importance of planting and saving trees, express our concern to
the environment, and diminish the unfavorable effects of climate change.
The spirit of friendly competition comes alive on Prep’s Sports Day. The children
participate in a wide range of sports events, cheer on their teammates and learn valuable
lessons in sportsmanship.
Everyone’s a winner at Prep with children guaranteed to win at least a couple of medals for
their efforts.
“The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we
bring them up will determine the future of the country.”
“The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will
determine the future of the country.” These immortal words of the first Prime Minister of
independent India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru remind us of the importance of giving our
children a nurturing and secure childhood. It is in memory of this great freedom fighter
that his birthday, November 14, is celebrated as Children’s Day in India. Nehru was very
fond of children and they used to lovingly call him ‘Chacha Nehru’.
When we celebrate this beautiful day, we must familiarise our children with the work of the
man who played such an important role in shaping India. We started the special assembly with
a small talk on the life of Mahatma Gandhi.

Onam Celebration @ Kidscity Montessori!
Onam is one of the most significant festivals of Kerala and is an attraction for the
thousands of people outside and within the State. This festival is celebrated in the
Malayalam month Chingam (ending of August and beginning of September).
Onam is a harvest festival and celebrates the reward of nature after a year of hard work.
The merry-making of the festival includes an elaborate procession of Trichur and the amusing
boat races on
River Pampa. Our kids dressed up in traditional wears and make detailed designs of
“rangolis” and “pookkalam”(with flowers) in front of our school.
We started our Onam celebration at 9.30 am with greater joy. Onam festivities included
various games. Students and teachers equally enjoyed the Onam sadhya together. Teachers and
non-teaching staff,
PTA executives and students actively took part in Onam Celebration.
